Snacks and Birthday Treats We do have several allergies in our classroom this year. Therefore, please read the following carefully so that we can have a safe environment for all students!
SNACK: No peanut/tree nut ingredients and it cannot be manufactured or packaged in a factory along with nut products. If I cannot find the information on the label and it is not easily available for me to check online, that snack will not be permitted. Some healthy and safe snacks are: ·Fruit/vegetables ·Rold Gold and Snyders pretzels - clearly labelled ·Cheez-its Brand - clearly labelled ·Raisins ·Most fruit snacks (read the labels!) ·Goldfish brand or Annie's brand crackers ·Skinny Pop Popcorn ·Pirate Booty Please read the labels of anything you send in to the classroom - thank you in advance for keeping all of our students safe! BIRTHDAY TREAT: 1. Since we have birthday treats at the end of the day in our classroom, I need to know in advance if you are planning to send something. Please email me at least one day before with exactly what your child will be bringing. 2. We will have a limited list of items that may be brought in so that all children in our class will be able to safely remain in the room during a treat. Anything that is not from this list will not be served to the class and will be brought home by your child at the end of the day. The list includes the following: · Mini nut free cupcakes from Publix (manufacturer: Maplehurst Bakeries) o The regular size cupcakes are NOT allergy safe · Lofthouse brand cookies with frosting and sprinkles from Harris Teeter o No cupcakes from Harris Teeter · Apple slices, grapes, pre-cut pineapple - fruit is safe! · Skittles, Starburst, Twizzlers, Smarties · Rold Gold pretzels, Skinny Pop Popcorn Thank you so much for helping to include all of the children in our class in a safe way every day! Also – here is the Sixlets candy. It is a chocolate coated chocolate candy which is very similar to an M&M, but is made in a peanut and tree nut free facility:
